The calcium carbide market remains stable
June 07, 2018
Recently, the domestic calcium carbide market has been stable and there has been no adjustment in prices. The market's mentality was to stabilize. Although the downstream PVC market performance remains depressed, the start-up load of chlor-alkali enterprises has no signs of downgrading, which also determines the stability of its calcium carbide demand. At the same time, due to better weather conditions, domestic logistics and transportation are smooth compared to previous years, and they are only slightly nervous on the deployment of vehicles.
On January 12th, the mainstream factory price of Grade 1 calcium carbide in Ordos was between RMB 3,400 and RMB 3,450 (t price, the same below); the price of Grade 1 calcium carbide delivered to Hubei Province was mostly RMB 3,700; the price of Grade 1 calcium carbide in Henan Province was the mainstream factory price. Mostly, it was 3,650 yuan, and the price of goods imported from outside the warehouse was slightly lower. The mainstream ex-factory price of grade 1 calcium carbide in Guizhou remained at 3,900 yuan, and the start-up load and output of the company were kept at a relatively low level.
